Crestwood Symphonic Band
The Crestwood Symphonic Band has a long tradition of musical excellence most consistently performs in OMEA District and State Adjudicated Event and earns the highest rating of Superior. The Crestwood High School Symphonic Band is the top performance ensemble in the Crestwood Local School District. With a diverse range of musical selections and powerful performances, this group gives students a strong basis of upper level musicianship skills. This ensemble is to give students a firm foundation of musical fundamentals and begin to learn how to create more emotive music. Students performing in this ensemble spend additional outside of the normal school day to rehearse and create music. The Symphonic Band has been invited to perform at the OMEA State Conference in 1976 & 1986. The band has previously been selected to perform at Kent State University, Severance Hall, home of the Cleveland Orchestra and in 2010 at the International Wind Band Festival at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Arts.
