About the Crestwood Scarlet Guard
Since its founding in 1951, the Crestwood High School Band Program, proudly known as the Scarlet Guard, has established a tradition of musical excellence, dedication, innovation, and community pride. The band is recognized as one of the top programs in Ohio, to continue in this tradition of success requires a high degree of dedication, effort, and pride on the part of each person involved.

The band has qualified for the OMEA State Marching Band Finals 39 times in the past 42 years and is an eight time Bands of America Regional Class A Champion, most recently earning top honors at the 2025 Bands of America Northwest Ohio Regional Championships. The Scarlet Guard is also a three-time Bands of America Regional Championship Finalist and has performed at the Bands of America Grand National Championships. Throughout the year, the band proudly represents Crestwood High School and the community through performances at football games, parades, festivals, community events, school activities, and invited performances.

The Scarlet Guard is built on hard work, teamwork, discipline, creativity, and pride. Every student is challenged to grow as a musician and performer while developing the leadership, confidence, and character that extend far beyond the field.

The Scarlet Guard has brought many students over the years together through music and performance. It is a tradition built by generations, carried by today's students, and continued into the future.
